Bottom Slab Reinforcements
Slab bottom reinforcement design is made in this section.
Uniform Reinforcements
Figure 1
→ Click Custom Zone Uniform Reinf. button as shown in Figure 1 to draw a custom uniform reinforcement region in slab.
→ Click Select Slab For Uniform Reinf. button as shown in Figure 1 and select slab edge or slab piece to assign as uniform reinforcement region.
Figure 2
→ Select rebar number and enter the spacing data of reinforcement layers in the spreadsheet.
→ Click Show cell in the spreadsheet to select the uniform reinforcement region in AutoCAD as demonstrated in Figure 2.
→ Click N/Showing Additional Rebar Zones button as shown in Figure 1 to see the additional reinforcement demand regions in the slab plan as illustrated in Figure 3.

Additional Reinforcements
Figure 4
Additional reinforcements to uniform reinforcement regions are added from this spreadsheet.
→ Click Draw Slab Reinf. to draw rebar.
Additional rebars must be drawn from support face to support face and in order to calculate the contribution of additional reinforcement to capacity, rebar region should be drawn.
Figure 4
→ Click Draw Region cell to draw the effective region of additional rebar.
→ Enter spacing, rebar number and rebar count data in the spreadsheet as illustrated in Figure 4.
Integrity Bottom Bar
Figure 5
Integrity bottom reinforcements for punching shear are added from this spreadsheet.
Select bar diameter and code check template for integrity bottom bar as demonstrated in Figure 6. See Design Criteria to learn how to set code check templates. See Design Templates to learn how to set the analysis source of IBB code check.
Enter additional rebar to add integrity rebars.
→ Click Verify All to run the code check for all the columns in the floor plan.
→ Click Verify Selected and select columns to run the code check for the selected columns.
Figure 6
The status of each column will be set as passed or failed when the code check is completed. Click Show cell to see the detailed report.
After the code check is completed, required integrity bottom bar count will be displayed as read-only in the spreadsheet as illustrated in Figure 6. If entered additional rebar is not adequate, edit the rebar count and run the code check again.
Figure 7
Additional IBB rebar data will automatically be written in top reinforcements drawings as illustrated in Figure 7.
