1.3 Properties

Please follow below instructions in order to properly set up the material data that will be used in this BDS project.

Table 1: Materials

To set the material data for the BDS project, navigate to the "Materials" option in the tree view.

Then, click on the "Materials DB" button, and select the desired MaterialsDB from the combobox, then click "import" to add it to the project.

Please verify that the Materials database has been imported successfully.

 


Please follow below instructions in order to properly set up the rebar data that will be used in this BDS project.

Table 2: Rebars

To set the Rebar data for the BDS project, navigate to the "Rebars" option in the tree view.

 

Then, click on the "Rebar DB" button, and select the desired RebarDB from the combobox, then click "import" to add it to the project.

After importing the rebar database, need to assign a material type to each of the imported rebars.

 


Please follow below instructions in order to properly set up the Load Classes that will be used in this BDS project.

Table 3: Load Classes

To define Load classes for the BDS project, navigate to the "Load Classes" option in the tree view.

The "Self Weight" load class is already defined by default. To add more load classes, click on the "Add" button. This will allow you to create new load classes for your project.

Set up “Live Load Reduction” status for all load class.

 

 


Table 4: Loads

Navigate 'Loads' from the tree view, select 'Load DB' button, then choose 'Passenger Vehicles' in the combobox and import.

"To add a custom load, click the 'Add' button. Provide a name, load class, type, and magnitude for each load added."

 

 


Table 5: Load Combination Table

Navigate 'Load Combination Table' from tree view, select 'Combination DB' button, then choose 'D+F' under Service Limit State in the combobox and import.

To create a custom load combination, click the 'Add' button. Enter load factor data for each combination.

 

 


Table 6: Drawing Files

Navigate 'Drawing Files' from tree view. To save the selected file to BDS, click the 'Open' button.
