Shear Stud Code Check (AASHTO) [EX1-SIG]

After clicking on ‘Superstructure Code Checks> Shear Stud Code Check (AASHTO)' in the navigation treeview, follow the steps to define the Shear Stud Code Check. You can use the collapsed documentation page below for more information on the explanations of each parameter.

Go to General tab. Click the three-dots icon on the Girder cell, and then set G1.

As a result of these operations, an issue will appear on the OpenBrIM screen. This does not necessarily mean that any operation was done incorrectly. The issue will be resolved when the code check template is define in the next step.

Click the three-dots icon on the Code Check Template cell, and then set SStudCCT.

Enter the Check Every Nth Station as 30.

Click three-dots icon on Res. Case to Find Pos. Neg. Flexure Zone cell and select a Result Extraction Case as DC1.

Set name as SStudCC.

Keep the parameters in the Reinforcement tab as default.

Proceed to the next step to verify the model.
