Steel I Girder Code Check (AASHTO) [EX1-SIG]
After clicking on ‘Superstructure Code Checks> Steel I Girder Code Check (AASHTO)' in the navigation treeview, follow the steps to define the Steel I Girder Code Check. You can use the collapsed documentation page below for more information on the explanations of each parameter.
1 | Click the three-dots icon on the Girder cell, and then set G1. |

2 | As a result of these operations, an issue will appear on the OpenBrIM screen. This does not necessarily mean that any operation was done incorrectly. The issue will be resolved when the code check template is define in the next step. | |

4 | Enter the Station as 260. |

5 | Click the three-dots icon on the Code Check Template cell, and then set SuperstrCCT. |

6 | Keep the Panel Type and Modelar Ratio Comp. Method as default. |

7 | Enter the Modular Ratio as 7.5639. |

8 | You can edit the Deck Reinforcement parameters of Steel I Girder Code Check from Deck Reinforcement tab.
Click the three-dots icon on the Input Data Preference cell, and then set Override Deck Rebar. Enter the Lumped Top Reinforcement Area within the Effective Width as 7.893. Enter the Distance from the CL of Top Bars to the Top of the Deck as 3. Enter the Lumped Bottom Reinforcement Area within the Effective Width as 3.947. Enter the Distance from the CL of Bottom Bars to the Bottom of the Deck as 3. Click the three-dots icon on the Deck Rebar Material cell, and then set A615_60. Enter the Concrete creep adjustment factor as 3. |

9 | Set name as G1Span. |

10 | To model all the steel i girder code check, copy the data below and paste the parameters into the first cell in OpenBrIM spreadsheet. Refer to the quick tip for an easy guide on how to perform the copy operation. After completing the copy, proceed to the next step to verify the model. |
