Transverse Stiffeners [STG]

Transverse Stiffeners [STG]

General

Girder: Specify the girder on which the transverse stiffener will be generated.

Skew Angle: The skew angle for a stiffener defines the orientation of the stiffener relative to the main structural axis.Positive Skew Angle: A positive value (e.g., 15°) will rotate the stiffener in a clockwise direction relative to the reference axis. Negative Skew Angle: A negative value (e.g., -15°) will rotate the stiffener in a counterclockwise direction relative to the reference axis.

Station [Start/End]: Users can specify the station of the stiffener either by selecting the Start/End options or by entering a station manually.

Left Web Stiffener Side [Both/Right/Left]: When looking upstation along the PGL, the left web of the selected girder can have the stiffener generated on the left side, the right side, or both sides of the web. This parameter specifies the side of the stiffener on the left web at the given station of the selected girder.

Right Web Stiffener Side [Both/Right/Left]: Similar to the left web, this parameter defines the side (both, right, or left) on which the stiffener will be placed for the right web.

Material: This parameter assigns a material to the stiffener. The material can either be imported or selected from previously defined materials.

Dimensions

Stiffener Thickness: The thickness of the stiffener along the longitudinal direction can be specified using this parameter.

Stiffener Width: The width of the stiffener along the transverse direction can be specified using this parameter.

Distance from Top of Web: The top of the stiffener can be offset from the top of the web using this parameter.

Distance from Bottom of Web: The bottom of the stiffener can be offset from the bottom of the web using this parameter.

3D Detailing

Top-Outer Chamfer: For the top side of the stiffener, the chamfer value for the edge farthest from the web can be specified.

Top-Inner Chamfer: For the top side of the stiffener, the chamfer value for the edge closer to the web can be specified.

Bottom-Outer Chamfer: For the bottom side of the stiffener, the chamfer value for the edge farthest from the web can be specified.

Bottom-Inner Chamfer: For the bottom side of the stiffener, the chamfer value for the edge closer to the web can be specified.
