Pier Cap [EX1-PIG]

Please follow the instructions provided below to add the pier cap.

Navigate to Pier > Pier Cap

Click three-dots icon on the Location cell and select Pier1 (Pier Cap)

Enter name as EndBent1

Click three-dots icon on the Straight - Tapered Section / Length Section cell and click Edit.

Select "Rectangle_exist_EBcap" as the Starting Section.

 

Also click three-dots icon on the End Section cell and click Select.

 

Select "Rectangle_exist_EBcap" as the End Section.

 

Enter Section Length as 36.5 along Y-Y starting from right .

Navigate back to General tab, set Slope Option as Alignment.

Enter Top Elevation Offset from Alignment [ft] value as in the figure

Enter Transverse Offset [ft] value as in the figure

Navigate to FEM tab and select a section for Rigid Section.

To create Pier Caps for the Pier 2 location, please follow the previous steps and repeat them accordingly.

Navigate to Pier Cap under Pier on the tree view.

Copy General from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

  Completed pier cap is illustrated below
