Materials
The AEC | BOLT BIM Cloud library provides commonly used steel and concrete material definitions. If these material definitions are not imported using the Quick Import button, which is explained in detail on the page found at Settings , they must be imported separately in order to utilize them, as demonstrated below.
Go to the Materials section and click on "Material DB."
Select ASTM A615 Gr60 for steel and Conc 4000psi for concrete, then click on "Import."
Additionally, you have the option to include a custom material definition, as illustrated below.
Go to the Materials section and click on "Add."
Enter the values for the material properties and provide a name for the material.
Rebars
The AEC | BOLT BIM Cloud library contains rebar definitions. If these rebar definitions have not been imported using the Quick Import button, which is explained in detail on the page found at Settings , they must also be imported in order to be utilized. The process for importing rebar definitions is the same as importing material definitions.
Go to Rebar section → click “Rebar DB” → select rebars → click “import”
To avoid errors during analysis, it is essential to assign a material to rebars. Follow the steps below to assign ASTM A615 Gr60:
Select the rebars that need a material assignment.
Choose ASTM A615 Gr60 from the available material options.
Assign ASTM A615 Gr60 to the selected rebars.
