Project Settings
General project settings take place in this section.
Quick Import button is an alternative shortcut of importing default templates and databases from AEC|BOLT BIM Cloud.
AEC | BOLT Building Design Suite gives users the opportunity of setting the drawing templates, material&rebar databases, load combinations based on NYCBC 2014 and design criteria templates based on NYCBC 2014 with one click.
Click “Quick Import” button as illustrated above to import default templates and databases quickly.
Select templates and databases to be imported as demonstrated above.
Or the user can import desired databases and templates manually later.
AEC | BOLT Building Design Suite allows users to work as teams in one project. Once the project is created by one, user can add other users to the project and authorize new users. Added users can view the project in their library and make changes in the project if they are authorized as admin.
Click User Management button to add new users
Enter the registered e-mail address of the new user
Click “Add to Project Team” button to add a user
Select permission state of new user
Select the role of the user
Admin users can not be removed from project.
Click Log Out button to log out from the account
AEC | BOLT Building Design Suite is a cloud-based platform, it keeps the previously saved versions of the project in the memory and enables re-use of previous versions from revision.
Click Revision History button to view the previous versions of the project.
Click share icon next to the user e-mail address to share the cloud link of the project version.
Click branch icon to see the changes of that save.
Click reload icon to re-load the revision version of the project.
Click Open Project button to go back to the account’s project library.
Project can be renamed and a description can be added from Project Settings spreadsheet. Detailed rendering option is set false as default but can be set true as illustrated above.
Drawing Settings
Drawing layers of structural objects are imported manually from Drawing Settings spreadsheet.
Go to Project on tree view and select Drawing Settings spreadsheet.
Click “Import Drawing Template” and select a drawing template to import layers as demonstrated below.
BDS Settings
AEC | BOLT Building Design Suite (BDS) settings are made from this spreadsheet as demonstrated below.
