Pier Cap Construction

If a pier cap is to be partially constructed and the user wants to evaluate the creep and shrinkage effects of each deck pour, they should use this object. However, in most cases, a pier cap is constructed in a single stage, and this can be accomplished using the pier cap/bent (complete) object.

Stage: Choose the stage for constructing the pier or bents.

Pier Caps/Bents: Choose the pier caps or bents for construction.

Cut Station (From Right): The cut station serves to delineate the boundary of the elements being constructed.

Const. Direction [Left/Right]: The construction direction is utilized to define the area being constructed. If "right" is selected, the area to the right of the cut station will be constructed.

Self-Weight Factor: The Self-Weight Factor is a parameter used to adjust the contribution of an object's own weight in structural analysis. This factor is particularly useful in simulations, as it enables the scaling or modification of the self-weight during finite element analysis (FEA).
