Dynamic Loads [SIG]

Dynamic Loads [SIG]

OpenBrIM allows users to analyze the structural behavior of a modeled bridge under dynamic loads.

The Response Spectrum Curve object can be used for this purpose. The Response Spectrum Curve is a graphical tool that represents the maximum response of a range of oscillators (simple harmonic oscillators) to dynamic loads, such as seismic activity. It plots natural frequency (or period) on the X-axis and peak response (acceleration, velocity, or displacement) on the Y-axis.

Additionally, Eigenvalue analysis and RSA can be utilized to evaluate the structural behavior of a bridge under dynamic loads.

For a detailed explanation of each library object, refer to the relevant section of the documentation.
