Table 1: Design Criteria

Go to Design Criteria and click "Load Template Groups" button.

 

Click Yes in the Question List at combobox.

Check that the templates are assigned to floors.

Verifies Load Template Imports

Go to “Circular Column Design Code” in spreadsheet.

Click and assign "CCD" to blank cell

 

Verifies Design Code adjustment

Fill in the design table according to the figure

Click Show for “Slab Minimum Reinforcement Criteria” in Design Criteria spreadsheet.

Check that a table with values has been created.

Enter values to table in the figure. Make sure values are saved and color change

Click “Return to ACI 318 -14 Values” and make sure old values come back

Click Show for “Shearwall Minimum Reinforcement Criteria” in Design Criteria spreadsheet.

Check that a table with values has been created.

Go to Code Check Templates under Design Criteria from tree view.

Click Design Template, select “Rectangular Column NYBC 2014 Code Check” and add.

Make sure Code Check Template is installed and then delete last row.

Click Code Checks button and go to “Rectangular Column Code Check Templates” section.

Select the Code Checking Analysis Result Source cell in 1st row as "CSIEtabs"

Make all selections as in the figure.

Check spreadsheet of other Code Check Templates.

Go to Code Check Templates under Design Criteria from tree view.

Click Show button on “RCCC” row and in Report column.

Check the "Rectangular Column Code Check" calculations occur in combobox.

Click the Show button on “RCCC” row and in the Code Check Template Parameters at same spreadsheet.

Check the Rectangular Column Code Check Templates table opened.

Go to Design Templates under Design Criteria from tree view.

Click Import Design Template (Library) and select in the checkbox as in the figure.

Check that design templates are imported.

Click Add Design Template.

Select all checkbox that appear in the combobox

Click Show button at the intersection of the Design Template Parameters column in RCD.

Click Design Templates button and select Rectangular Column Design.

Enter values in spreadsheet according to the figure.

Click Longitudinal Rebars on RCD at Rectangular Column Design spreadsheet.

Import databases and check values at spreadsheet.

Click Add button and make sure create a new database cell at Rectangular Column Design spreadsheet.

Go to Circular Column Design Template.

Enter values in spreadsheet according to the figure.

Click Longitudinal Rebars on CCD at Circular Column Design spreadsheet.

Table 2: Column Design Lines

Go to Column Design Lines from tree view.

Check that "Column Schedule" has been created in the CAD view.

Click Verify Selected and select columns in the figure.

Click run code check button and make sure selected column “C4” verified.

Click Verify All.

Make sure all column verified.

(Do not define vertical strips for arbitrary columns, cannot see analysis result in CAD view in C1 and C2 column)

Click Design Columns from Column Design Lines Spreadsheet.

Go to Names under Column Design Lines from tree view.

Click Rename Clockwise button and enter “1”.

Check that column names have been renamed.

Go to C1 under Column Design Lines from tree view.

Click Column Design Line Data button and select Rebar Templates.

Click Draw Rebars and enter “2”.

Create rebar on each floor for column C1.

Click “Show Rebars” cell in Longitudinal Rebar for 1st floor.

Make sure a coordinate table is created. Also set rebar class “#8”

Make same steps for other floors.

Click “Show Stirrups” cell in Stirrup for 1st floor.

Click Draw Stirrup button and draw stirrups as in the figure

Click “Closed Torsional” cell in Strrup for 1st floor.

Select marked points with red arrow.

Check torsional rebar has occurred in CAD view.

Click “X Group Rebars” and select marked points with red arrow.

Click “Y Group Rebars” and select marked points with blue arrow.

Click “Clear Groupped Rebar List” for 1st Floor.

Make sure clear X and Y rebars group list

Go to C3 under Column Design Criteria from tree view.

Click “Verify Selected” and select Roof Floor.

Check Passed of the Design State of selected columns

Check if Reinforcement Ratio value has changed. Click Verify All button and check CAD view changes

Go to Roof under Slab Design from tree view.

Click “General” and go to Corner Zone tab.

Click “Generate Corner Zones”
Check drawing is created in CAD view and data is created in spreadsheet.

Click “Draw Corner Zone” from same spreadsheet.

Draw a corner zone as shown in the figure.

Make sure the drawing is created in Cad view, then delete it.

Go to “Stress Line” under Corner Zones from same spreadsheet.

Click “Run Stress Line Generation” and make sure stress line spreadsheet created

Set data in SL-C1-SW-CZ 3 row as in the figure.

Click on “Drawn Stress Line”. Draw a stress line between column C3 and SW-1 CZ 5. Check that stress line is drawn in CAD view.

Check that Top Reinforcement drawing has been created in the CAD view.
