Please follow the instructions provided below to create Field Splice code check.

Navigate Templates for Code Check > Field Splice Code Check

For Internal Cross Frame code check, 1 Load Combination Tables must be defined.

Click three-dots icon on Load Combination Table and set SuperstructureLCT.

Since the Field Splice is a superstructure element, the appropriate Load Combination Table to assign would be "SuperstructureLCT".

Navigate to Bridge Parameters tab.

You can make adjustments to the "Design Parameters” tab if you wish.

Keep the “Design Parameters” as default (60 kip/in2) for this case.


Follow the below steps to copy and paste all inputs from our data set.

Navigate to Field Splice Code Check under Templates for Code Check on the tree view.

Copy Params and Design Parameters from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

The Field Splice Code Check have been created.


 Quick Tip: Copy inputs to OpenBrIM

Copy the desired data with the automatic copy button in the upper left corner.

Click on the first cell in and use the Ctrl+V shortcut to paste.

If icon won’t appear, collapse page tree menu by clicking on arrow or using shortcut “[”.

While pasting large data, it would be handy to turn of Auto-refresh .
