Follow the below steps to add the insertion points where the bearings will be created.

Go to Insertion Point on tree view next to the data spreadsheet.

Select a support line as Location.

Enter Transverse Offset to relocate the insertion point on the support line.

 Quick Tip

Skew angle and transverse offset parameters for support lines that have skew > 0.

Skew angle and longitudinal offset parameters for support lines that have skew > 0.

Support Lines ( Normal - Offset ) in the figure are parallel. However longitudinal offset parameter for insertion points does not keep their assigned support line orientation. Insertion points are relocated with respect to the imaginary support line at “offset” distance away.


Follow the below steps to copy and paste all inputs from our data set.

Go to Insertion Point under Bridge Geometry.

Copy Bridge Parameters from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.


Insertion point layout is given below.


 Quick Tip: Copy inputs to OpenBrIM

Copy the desired data with the automatic copy button in the upper left corner.

Click on the first cell in and use the Ctrl+V shortcut to paste.

If icon won’t appear, collapse page tree menu by clicking on arrow or using shortcut “[”.

While pasting large data, it would be handy to turn of Auto-refresh .
