  • Surface object represents a three or four-noded element in a finite element model supporting both membrane (including drilling) and bending action.

  • Creating surface object requires four nodes. User may fill the table by entering desired node names manually or the ”Pick Nodes” command can be used.

  • Surfaces can be broken into multiple segments by using command “Break”. Doing so, OpenBrIM creates new required node and surface objects.
