Follow the next steps to define construction of substructure bridge components.

Go to Loading/Construction/Substructure, click Bearing.

Select a Stage at Superstructure Connection Construction tab as GirderStage.

Pick Insertion Points.

Click all the Insertion Points.

Click Done.

Proceed with Pier Cap/End Bent (Complete).

Select a Stage as SubstrConstStage.

Pick Pier Caps.

Click on PierCap1 and PierCap2.

Click Done.

Set Self Weight Factor to 1.

Proceed with Pier Column.

Select a Stage as SubstrConstStage.

Pick Columns.

Click on all the columns.

Click Done.

Set Self Weight Factor to 1.

Proceed with Foundation (Complete).

Select a Stage as SubstrConstStage.

Pick Foundation.

Click on all the foundations.

Set Self Weight Factor to 1.

Proceed with Pile.

Select a Stage as SubstrConstStage.

Pick Substructures Above.

Click on all the foundations.

Set Individual Piles as Empty.

Set Self Weight Factor to 1.


Follow the below steps to copy and paste all inputs from our data set.

Go to Bearing under Substructure on the tree view.

Copy Superstructure Connection Construction from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

Go to Pier Cap/End Bent (Complete) under Substructure on the tree view.

Copy Pier Cap Construction from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

Go to Pier Column under Substructure on the tree view.

Copy Pier Column Construction from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

Go to Foundation (Complete) under Substructure on the tree view.

Copy Foundation Construction from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

Go to Pile under Substructure on the tree view.

Copy Pile Construction from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.


 Quick Tip: Copy inputs to OpenBrIM

Copy the desired data with the automatic copy button in the upper left corner.

Click on the first cell in and use the Ctrl+V shortcut to paste.

If icon won’t appear, collapse page tree menu by clicking on arrow or using shortcut “[”.

While pasting large data, it would be handy to turn of Auto-refresh .
