Figure 1
Shear Walls section have two spreadsheets as in Figure 1.
Figure 2
Select “Shear Walls” from spreadsheet data. Click “Shear Wall” button as shown in Figure 2 to draw shearwall polygon. Properties of shearwall as illustrated in Figure 4 can be edited later.
Figure 3
Figure 4
Click “Plan View Cutout” button as shown in Figure 2 to draw a cutout from shearwall polygon. Draw area to be cutout from shearwall polygon and press “enter”.
Figure 5
Figure 6
Figure 7
Select “Analytical Walls” from spreadsheet data. Click “Analytical Wall” button as in Figure 7 to draw analytical lines linked to shearwalls as illustrated in Figure 8.
Figure 8
Figure 9
Properties of the analytical wall such as thickness can be edited later as shown in Figure 9.
Corner intersection of two analytical walls linked to one shear wall must be as in Figure 10.
Figure 10
If analytical wall intersects another analytical wall from middle, intersection point must be assigned as break point in intersected analytical wall as demonstrated in Figure 11.
Figure 11
Different thickness and refline offset can be assigned to analytical wall with break points by entering “,” between values.
Click “Show” button as in Figure 9 to see elevation view of analytical wall as illustrated in Figure 12.
Figure 12
Click “Wall Opening” button as in Figure 7 while in elevation view to draw opening to analytical wall. Select shape of the opening as demonstrated in Figure 13. Draw the opening to analytical wall.
Figure 13
Click “Show Story” button as in Figure 7 to go back to plan view.
