Internal Diaphragm

Girder: Choose the girder on which the intermediate diaphragm is constructed.

Station: The station of the internal diaphragm is located along the PGL. The station at the centerline of the 3D volume needs to be entered, and the FEA representation will be generated at this location.

Thickness: Enter the thickness value used to calculate the weight of the intermediate diaphragm. Stiffness of the created finite elements is not affected by this input. During construction of diaphragms, the user can decide whether to include the diaphragm weight as a load or to ignore the diaphragm load effects in the model.

Start - End Skew: The start and end skew values alter the 3D volume of the object, but do not affect its longitudinal station.

Material: Set the material for the intermediate diaphragm. It is possible to consider the weight of the intermediate diaphragm and apply it as loads in stage construction analysis.
