Please follow the instructions provided below to add the pier columns.

Navigate to Pier > Pier Column

Click three-dots icon on the Cap cell and set pier caps according to project.

Then enter the name.

Click three-dots icon on the Section Data and click edit.

Enter the section data as follows for Column1.

  • Section Length (Starts from Top) [ft]: 35.25

  • Start Section: ColSec_P2

  • End Section: ColSec_P2

Repeat the previous steps and enter the section data as follows for Column2 and Column3.

Column2:

  • Section Length [ft]: 35.25

  • Start Section: ColSec_P2

  • End Section: ColSec_P2

Column3:

  • Section Length [ft]: 30.58

  • Start Section: ColSec_P3

  • End Section: ColSec_P3

Enter Transverse Offset [ft] and Bottom Elevation [ft] data as in the figure.

You can make adjustments to the "FEM" tab if you wish.

 Quick Tip: Transverse Offset Direction

Offset values use PGL as the reference point.


Follow the below steps to copy and paste all inputs from our data set.

Navigate to Pier Columns under Pier on the tree view.

Copy Column from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

Go to FEM under Pier on the tree view.

Copy FEM data from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

The pier columns that have been created are illustrated below.


 Quick Tip: Copy inputs to OpenBrIM

Copy the desired data with the automatic copy button in the upper left corner.

Click on the first cell in and use the Ctrl+V shortcut to paste.

If icon won’t appear, collapse page tree menu by clicking on arrow or using shortcut “[”.

While pasting large data, it would be handy to turn of Auto-refresh .
