Follow the below instruction to Run Tributary Analysis

Table 1: Tributary Analysis

Go to Tributary under AEC|BOLT from tree view.

I want to make the tributary Area Factors of C21 and C25 columns 1.1 instead of "1".

Tributary results will be on the safe side by increasing the correction factor, for more conservative approach, increase the correction factor.

I need the "Live Load Reduction" code for this, if this code is not imported, add it from Design Criteria.

Go to Tributary Correction Factors Tab at same spreadsheet.

Set the "Tributary Area Factors" of columns C21 and C25 to 1.1

You can see Reducible Area on this spreadsheet.

Come back to Tributary Analysis Settings and Run Tributary


Follow the below instruction to Run AECBolt Slab Analysis.

Go to 1st floor under Slab Analysis from tree view.

Fill in the blanks in the spreadsheet according to project.

Click "Run Mesh" button to check the mesh quality.

Click “Run Slab Analysis” button.

After the analysis is complete, the Slab Analysis results is open.

Here you can see the results for each load case.

  • “Model”

  • “Loading”

  • “Deformed”

  • “Line Forces”,

  • “Surface Forces”

  • “Composite Forces” for each

We can see the results in the browser.
Go to the AEC|BOLT BIM Cloud page and press "Open".
The most recent analysis in BDS is displayed in the browser.


Click "Analysis:: Slab Reinforcement Training Example" and open “AEC_SlabAnalysisTemplate2”.

Click “FEA” button abd Run Analysis.

Open the "DATA" spreadsheet after analysis.
After the spreadsheet is opened, do the following steps in order.
FEM → Node Reaction (Global) → Self Weight

Then hover over the Force Z column. Click on the 3 dots that appear, open "Quick Stats" from combobox

The sum value will give total Self Weight analysis result of this Slab.

The “Slab Analysis” part is completed in this step.

You can proceed to the “CSI Safe Export & Import” section.
