Bearing Result Extraction

Result Case: Specify the result extraction case from which the bearing reaction forces will be obtained.

Insertion Point: Specify the insertion point utilized for defining the bearings.

Envelope [NO/Fx/My]:

Min/Max [Abs. max/Max/Min]: Maximum represents positive values, minimum represents negative values, and absolute maximum refers to the largest value in magnitude, whether positive or negative.

Fx: Read-only value for the reaction force of the bearing along the X-axis.

Fy: Read-only value for the reaction force of the bearing along the Y-axis.

Fz: Read-only value for the reaction force of the bearing along the Z-axis.

Loads are applied according to Bearings Local Axis:

The loads defined using the Bearing Load object are applied based on the bearing's local axis, which aligns with the global (alignment) coordinate system if the parameter "Bearing Rotation" under Superstructure-FEA Bearings is defined as zero. Otherwise, the loads will be applied based on the rotated axis.

Excerpt

The loads can be applied to the selected bearing by defining the related parameters below.

Bearing Load

Bearing: Specify the bearing at which the load will be applied.

Stage: Specify the stage at which the bearing load will be applied.

Fx: Specify the force applied in elements local X-axis direction.

Fy: Specify the force applied in elements local Y-axis direction.

Fz (Gravity): Specify the force applied in elements local negative Z-axis direction.

Mx: Specify the moment applied around the X-axis.

My: Specify the moment applied around the Y-axis.

Mz: Specify the moment applied around the Z-axis.

Info

Although Fz is applied in the direction of gravity (positive values for Fz will correspond to the downward direction, as with gravity), Mz will have a positive direction relative to the +Z axis or, in other words, in the upward direction.

Info

Loads are applied taking into account bearing rotation angle

The loads defined for the bearings are applied based on the alignment coordinate system for the bearing that has the bearing rotation parameter set to zero degrees.
