The materials to be used are defined from Materials section. Material definiton can be made either importing from BDS database or as user input.

To import material definition from database, click “Material DB” demonstrated in Figure 1. Select required materials from the list illustrated in Figure 2 then click “import” button.

To import material definitions from the database, follow these steps:
→ Click on "Material DB" (refer to Figure 1).
→ From the list shown in Figure 2, select the required materials.
→ Click the "Import" button.

To define a custom material, follow these steps:
→ Click on the "Add" button displayed in Figure 1.
→ Enter the values of parameters such as modulus of elasticity, unit weight, etc., as shown in Figure 3.
