Please follow below instructions to add Stories to the BDS project.

Table 1: Stories

Navigate 'Stories' from tree view. Click the 'Add' button, select '1' floor, and enter '12' feet for the elevation of the floor.

Enter Story Height value and Defult Materials Type data.

Assign the previously uploaded drawing file to 1st Floor.

Navigate 'Shearwall' under the 1st floor from the tree view.

Using the 'Shearwall' button, draw the shearwall by following the overlayed drawing.

Go Navigate to the Analytical Definition Tab under section for Shearwall in spreadsheet.Click “Analytical Wall” button and draw Analytical Wall the spreadsheet, then select the "Analytical Wall" button to begin drawing the wall while following the overlayed drawingguide.

Adjust After that, adjust the thickness of the analytical wall thickness value according to to match the specified thickness of the shearwall thickness.

When 2 two analytical walls intersect, BDS the software will automatically assigns assign a break point to at the point of intersection for the analytical wall on the intersection.

Table 6: Beam

Go to Shearwall Navigate the Beam section under 1st Floor floor from tree view.Click the “Draw Beam” button and draw , then select the "Draw Beam" button to begin drawing the beam while following the overlayed overlay drawing .on CAD side

Enter Depth data of the depth measurements for each beam and set the beam type to “Lateral”as "Lateral”

Go Navigate to the Analytical Lines Tab under Beam in spreadsheet.Click “Draw Analytical Beam” button and draw to inside beam.within the Beam section of the spreadsheet, then select the "Draw Analytical Beam" button to begin drawing analytical line on the inside of the beam

Enter Width data of each Beam Analytical Line.

Click “Show Tributary” button.

This button shows tributary area of the each BeamsIn the 'Beams' spreadsheet, select the button labeled 'Show Tributary' to display the area of each beam's tributary area on CAD side.

Go to Shearwall under Navigate to the "Load" section located under the 1st Floor from tree the Tree view.

Click “Area” on the "Area" button, and use the provided Load Schedule to draw the designated load area according to Load Schedule."

Right "In the spreadsheet, right-click on the "LG 1" line at spreadsheet. Click on . From the drop-down menu, select "Duplicate" in combobox.

Assign a name and load case to the new load, ensuring that cover it covers the same area as "LG 1".

Use the "DublicateDuplicate" feature to load 2 apply two different load cases in to the same area."

Draw Line Load around the entire circumference, offsetting the circumference of the slab edge 1 inch inward.
