User can import required materials from OpenBrIM database or define a new one if needed.

Creating Custom Material
There are multiple ways of creating custom material:
From Data/FEA/Properties/Materials tab create new material, then from options menu (⋮) click edit
Click ≡ icon on top left corner then go into “Assets” menu. Under the Materials tab click + icon.
After a new material is created, user can enter predefined values for :
Mod. of Elasticity
Mod. of Elasticity
Shear Moduluskip
Poisson Ratio
Density
Thermal Exp.
Type [Concrete Structural Steel, Prestressing Steel, Reinforcing Steel]

Importing Materials From Database
To import a material, user must navigate to Data/FEA/Properties/Materials tab and click on “⋮” icon and select “Import Material” option.
Navigate through “Import Material” page and import desired material from OpenBrIM database.
Same exact process with user defined materials can be followed to edit imported ones.
