Click on the three-dot icon located on the first cell of the Cross-Section and click “Edit”

4

Click on the three-dot icon located on the first cell of the Cross Section Location and set as “Abut1” and “Pier1”

Enter data as in the figure.

At this stage, we have entered the cross-sectional values for a span of the bridge. Let's determine how many spans are present in the bridge to be modeled and create parameters accordingly.

5

Set Material as Fc_4_1/2ksi.

For the first span of the bridge, we will use the "Concrete Deck" parameter. Please enter the name of the parameter as "Span1".

6

Click on the three-dot icon located on the first cell of the Deck Reinforcement Data and click “Edit”

7

Enter the Deck Reinforcement data as in the figure.

After completing this step, the reinforcement process for the "Span1" deck will be finished.

8

To create the decks for 2nd & 3rd span please repeat the previous steps in the same manner.

Enter the necessary cross-sectional values, assign parameters and enter the deck reinforcement data for each span.

By following the same procedure, you will be able to create the decks for both "Span2" and "Span3".

Follow the below steps to copy and paste all inputs from our data set.

1

Navigate to Concrete Deck under Deck on the tree view.

2

Copy General from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

The Concrete Deck that have been created are illustrated below.

Quick Tip: Copy inputs to OpenBrIM

Copy the desired data with the automatic copy button in the upper left corner.

Click on the first cell in and use the Ctrl+V shortcut to paste.
