Girder Construction (Segmental) [CUG]

If the construction of girders needs to be done in several stages (or, in other words, if segmental girder construction is required for various purposes), this object can be used.

Girder Erection

Is it a closure segment?[Yes/No]: Choose 'Yes' if the closure segment station information has been entered. For the closure segment, “Cast Stage” and “Stiffness Stage” information is collected since the load is applied first, and then stiffness is gained. For other segments, stiffness and weight are applied at the same stage, so only one stage is selected.

Stage: Choose the stage at which you intend to construct the girders. This option can only be selected if the 'Is Closure' parameter is set to 'No'.
Cast Stage: This option can only be selected if the 'Is Closure' parameter is set to 'Yes'. The cast stage is the stage where the self-weight of the closure segments is applied to the closest nodes.
Stiffness Stage: This option can only be selected if the 'Is Closure' parameter is set to 'Yes'. The stiffness stage is the stage where the closure segment gain its stiffness.

Girders: Selected girders will be constructed at the selected stage.

Girder Start Station: Enter the girder start station for construction, and the mesh will be updated accordingly.

Girder End Station: Enter the girder end station for construction, and the mesh will be updated accordingly.

Age of Girder at Erection(Day): This information is used to calculate the tendon losses in the code check object, or it can be utilized if the user decides to run a time-dependent staged construction analysis with CIB-FIB curves.

Girder Self Weight Factor: The Girder Self-Weight Factor is a parameter used to adjust the contribution of a girder's own weight to the overall structural load calculations. This factor allows for the scaling or modification of the girder's self-weight in finite element analysis (FEA).
