Deck Deconstruction [SIG]
Deck Deconstruction
For rehabilitation projects, after constructing the existing structure, users can deconstruct some portions of the deck. The OpenBrIM FEA engine will automatically calculate load distribution among the girders based on stiffness and the unbalanced load vector following deconstruction.
Stage: In this stage, the deck's shell will be deconstructed, and the unbalanced load vector will be computed and redistributed throughout the structure.
Deck: Choose the deck to define the deconstruction
Start Skew: This parameter is used to define the deck boundary at the beginning of the deconstruction process. It is also involved in mesh creation, so an incorrect value may result in improper mesh generation.
End Skew: This parameter is used to define the deck boundary at the end of the deconstruction process. It also plays a role in mesh creation, so entering an incorrect value may lead to improper mesh generation.
Longitudinal
Start Station: This parameter specifies the starting position along the PGL in the longitudinal direction. It is used to define the beginning boundary for deconstruction. This parameter also influences mesh creation, so entering an incorrect value may lead to improper mesh generation.
End Station: This parameter specifies the ending position along the PGL in the longitudinal direction. It is used to define the ending boundary for deconstruction. This parameter also affects mesh creation, so entering an incorrect value may result in improper mesh generation.
Transverse
Transverse Const. Type[Complete/Partial]: Choose the "Complete" option if the entire deck between two longitudinal stations is removed. Select "Partial" if only the right or left portion of the deck in the transverse direction is removed.
Left Offset Start [PGL]: This parameter applies only when the "Partial" option is selected. Enter the transverse offset along the PGL at the start longitudinal station. "Left" refers to the left boundary when looking up-station along the alignment.
Right Offset Start [PGL]: This parameter applies only when the "Partial" option is selected. Enter the transverse offset along the PGL at the start longitudinal station. "Right" defines the right boundary when looking up-station along the alignment.
Left Offset End [PGL]: This parameter applies only when the "Partial" option is selected. Enter the transverse offset along the PGL at the end longitudinal station. "Left" refers to the left boundary when looking up-station along the alignment.
Right Offset End [PGL]: This parameter applies only when the "Partial" option is selected. Enter the transverse offset along the PGL at the end longitudinal station. "Right" defines the right boundary when looking up-station along the alignment.
