You may use the OpenBrIM Platform in desktop web browsers such as Google Chrome, Edge, and Mozilla Firefox, which support WebGL (a web technology standard for rendering 3D graphics). Internet Explorer and Safari are not supported. Additionally, the Chromium V8 engine is faster compared to Mozilla's engine, making Google Chrome the preferred browser for optimal performance. Our default test environment is also Chrome.

Your computer must have a minimum of 12 GB of system memory to run the analysis in your web browser.

You may install it from Google Chrome - The Fast & Secure Web Browser Built to be Yours

You may test whether your browser has WebGL enabled or not from get.webgl.org

Expanding Chrome's Memory Limit: From 4GB to 16GB per Tab

Your hardware offers a substantial amount of memory, but it's important to take into account Chrome's restriction on each tab's memory usage, which is capped at 4GB. This limitation raises genuine concerns about the potential impact if your project expands and demands more memory than what Chrome allows for a single tab.

In such a situation, you have the option to download and utilize our Desktop App, which effectively raises the memory limitation to 16GB per tab. This solution allows your project to have access to significantly more memory resources compared to the default limitations imposed by Chrome.
