The tributary analysis is performed for gravitational loads from this section.
AEC | BOLT Building Design Suite enables user to view tributary analysis results with or without live load reduction. To perform tributary analysis with live load reduction, you must import calculation object from AEC|BOLT BIM Cloud library and set it as Live Load Reduction Code For Column as shown below. See Code Check & Design Templates to learn how to import templates from AEC|BOLT BIM Cloud.
AEC | BOLT Building Design Suite calculates reduction factors according to NYCBC 2014 alternative method for different live load classes using AEC|BOLT BIM Cloud library object and multiplies live load results by this factor. Click Run Tributary Analysis button to start the analysis.
The tributary analysis is necessary in order to export correctly the column transfer loads as point loads (if exists) to CSI SAFE.
Tributary Correction Factors
You can view the tributary area of each column at each floor in this spreadsheet.
You can edit the tributary area factor from the spreadsheet.
Reducible live load area supported by each column at each floor is listed in the spreadsheet as shown below.
