Punching Shear

Design of punching shear is made in this section.

Click “Verify Selected” button as shown in Figure 1 to verify punching shear selected column or columns.

Click “Verify All” button as shown in Figure 1 to verify punching shear all columns on the floor.

Name section in Figure 2 shows the column names on that floor.

Code Check Template section in Figure 2 shows design templates selected by the user in the page of Design Criteria Section.

Status section in Figure 2 gives preliminary information about whether the punching shear ratio of the column is sufficient.

D/C Ratio section in Figure 2 shows the ratio of, punching shear force coming to the column and punching shear force capacity for same column

Code Check Timestamp section in Figure 2 shows when check is done.

Reports section in Figure 2 has a detailed report button. If this button is clicked, a detailed report of the column can be displayed (Figure 3).

In the upper right part of Figure 3, there is a 3D View of the column.

In the upper left part of Figure 3, there is a property list of the column.

In the lower part of Figure 3, there is a detailed report of the column.

Controlling Case section in Figure 2 shows the critical perimeter cases used when performing punching shear controls of the column (Interior, Edge, Corner). The table shows the critical situation. This part can be changed and other situations can be checked.
