After clicking on 'Properties> Materials' in the navigation treeview, follow the steps to define the Material. You can use the collapsed documentation page below for more information on the explanations of each parameter.

 Materials

🖱️ Click the three-dots on the first cell of the Name and click Import Material.

🖱️ Import following materials from OpenBrIM Library

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Steel Material DB (US) > Structural Steel > A709_50

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Steel Material DB (US) > Structural Steel > A709_50W

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Steel Material DB (US) > Reinforcement Steel > A615_60

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Concrete Material DB (US) > US AASHTO > Fc_4ksi

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Concrete Material DB (US) > US AASHTO > Fc_4ksi->rename this material to Fc_4ksiforDeck

🖱️ Assign a Stress-Strain model to both Fc_4ksi and Fc_4ksiforDeck by clicking the three-dots and selecting Edit.

🖱️ Select Stress/Strain model as Mander Concrete

🖱️ Click Save

🖱️ Repeat the same steps from 4 to 6 for A615_60 and select Stress/Strain model as Bilinear Steel

🖱️ Define a new material manually as RigidMaterial.

🖱️ Copy and paste the data below for the RigidMaterial.

🖱️ Define a new material manually as FcCube_NoStiffness.

🖱️ Copy and paste the data below for the FcCube_NoStiffness.

Copy the desired data with the automatic copy button in the upper left corner.

Click on the first cell in and use the Ctrl+V shortcut to paste.

If icon won’t appear, collapse page tree menu by clicking on arrow or using shortcut “[”.

While pasting large data, it would be handy to turn of Auto-refresh .

Rigid Material
