In OpenBrIM, "support lines" is the term used to describe the locations of abutments and piers in plan view. These lines are typically placed at the centerline of piers and the front face of backwalls for abutments, and are also used to determine the extents of the deck and beams.

Bridge Parameters

It is necessary to create a single support line for each abutment and pier location.

Bridge: Assign the bridge to the support line.

Station: Specify the station of the support line.

Skew Angle: Define the skew angle of the support line. See below screenshot for positive and negative skew.

Transverse Offset: Specify the transverse offset to move the support line center from PGL (projected grade line).
