Please follow the instructions provided below to define wind on live loads Lane Position.

Table 1: Lane Position

Navigate to Loads > Wind Load > Wind Load on Live Load > Lane Position

Click three-dots icon on Bridge cell.

Assign "Bridge1" three times. The reason for this is that there are three lanes on the bridge.

Enter Start & End Station [ft] as in the figure.

Enter the transverse offset value for each lane to influence the live wind load on the centers of the 3 available lanes.


Follow the below steps to copy and paste all inputs from our data set.

Navigate to Lane Position under Loads on the tree view.

Copy related Geometry from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.


Please follow the instructions provided below to define wind on live loads according to AASHTO.

Navigate to Loads > Wind Load > Wind Load on Live Load > Wind Load on Live Load AASHTO

Click three-dots icon on Center Lines of Lanes cell.

In this step, assign all "Lane Positions" that were defined in the previous step.

Click three-dots icon on Stage cell and click select.

Select the Stage to “WindLLStage” from the combobox.

Keep "Transverse Force" constant at 0.1 which comes “default” value.


Follow the below steps to copy and paste all inputs from our data set.

Navigate to Wind Load on Live Load AASHTO under Loads on the tree view.

Copy related General from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.


 Quick Tip: Copy inputs to OpenBrIM

Copy the desired data with the automatic copy button in the upper left corner.

Click on the first cell in and use the Ctrl+V shortcut to paste.

If icon won’t appear, collapse page tree menu by clicking on arrow or using shortcut “[”.

While pasting large data, it would be handy to turn of Auto-refresh .
