Please follow the instructions provided below to add the splice plates.

Navigate Connections > Bolted Field Splice

Set the Girder according to Project.

Enter the Station data.

Navigate to Web Splice tab.

Set to Plate Material as A709_50W.

Navigate to Top Flange Splice tab.

Set to Plate Material as A709_50W.

Navigate to Bottom Flange Splice tab.

Set to Plate Material as A709_50W.

Navigate to Bolts tab and click three-dots icon on Web Bolt Property and Flange Bolt Property cell.

Set to Web Bolt Property as BWeb.

Set to Flange Bolt Property as Flange Bolt Property.

 Quick Tip

Do not forget to assign the related material for each case.

To enable or disable the display of splice bolts, edit the "Show Bolts" parameter.

To activate the detailing feature, click on the "Detailing" icon located at the upper-middle part of the page.

 Quick Tip

It is recommended to disable Detailing when there is no need to display the details, such as bolt and bolt holes, to get a better performance experience.


Follow the below steps to copy and paste all inputs from our data set.

Navigate to Bolted Field Splice under Connections on the tree view.

Copy Girder, Web Splice, Top Flange Splice, Bottom Flange Splice and Bolts from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

The Deck bolted field splice that have been created are illustrated below.


 Quick Tip: Copy inputs to OpenBrIM

Copy the desired data with the automatic copy button in the upper left corner.

Click on the first cell in and use the Ctrl+V shortcut to paste.

If icon won’t appear, collapse page tree menu by clicking on arrow or using shortcut “[”.

While pasting large data, it would be handy to turn of Auto-refresh .
