Please follow the instructions provided below to create Field Splice code check (according to AASHTO).

In this section, we will assign an "Field Splice" to perform the Code Check.

Navigate to Superstructure Code Checks > Field Splice Code Check (AASHTO)

Click three-dots icon on Splice and select as SPL3

You can choose more “Field Splice” from combobox.

Click three-dots icon on Code Check Template.

Select the FSCCTTG1 "Field Splice Code Check" template defined in the previous steps for all.

You can make adjustments to the “Girder Parameters” tab if you wish.

Navigate to Stiffener tab.

Enter data as follows:

Transverse stiffener spacing at left girder [in]: 20

Transverse stiffener spacing at right girder [in]: 20


Follow the below steps to copy and paste all inputs from our data set.

Navigate to Field Splice Code Check (AASHTO) under Superstructure Code Checks on the tree view.

Copy General, Girder Parameters and Stiffener from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

The Field Splice Code Check (AASHTO) have been created.


 Quick Tip: Copy inputs to OpenBrIM

Copy the desired data with the automatic copy button in the upper left corner.

Click on the first cell in and use the Ctrl+V shortcut to paste.

If icon won’t appear, collapse page tree menu by clicking on arrow or using shortcut “[”.

While pasting large data, it would be handy to turn of Auto-refresh .
