Please follow the instructions provided below to set material definitions to be used in this bridge example.

Navigate to Properties > Materials

To import a material, click on the three-dot icon located on the first cell of the Name and select "Import Material".

Import following materials from OpenBrIM Library

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Concrete Material Database (US) > US AASHTO > Fc_4ksi

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Concrete Material Database (US) > US AASHTO > Fc_5ksi

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Steel Material Database (US) > Structural Steel > A709_50

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Steel Material Database (US) > Structural Steel > A709_50W

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Steel Material Database (US) > Reinforcement Steel > A615_60

Assign a Stress-Strain model to Fc_4ksi by clicking the three-dots and selecting Edit

Select Stress/Strain model as Mander Concrete

Click Save

Repeat the same steps from 4 to 6 for A615_60 and select Stress/Strain model as Bilinear Steel.

Define a new material manually as RigidMaterial

Copy and paste the data below for the RigidMaterial.

RigidMaterial	29000.0000	0.3000	11153.8462	0.0000	6.5000	concrete	Mander Concrete
