Follow the next steps to making Slab Design Setting
Table 1: Slab Design Setting
1 | Go to Slab Design from tree view. Set Analysis Source to “AECBolt” and “CSISafe”.
2 | Go to “Slab Design Template” under General from same spreadsheet. Set Slab Design Template for 1st floor.
3 | Go to 1st Floor under Slab Design. Set the Design Template to "Slab Design Template -1".
4 | Go to Corner Zones under General from same spreadsheet. Corner zones must be present in order to draw stress lines from Sherwall.
| |
5 | ||
6 | Go to Stress Lines at same spreadsheet. Click the "Run Stress Line Generation" button to generate stress lines.
7 | ||
8 | Based on the analysis results, we may want to delete some stress lines because we don't need them all. Click “Show Strip Button” and select both direction. The bottom of the stress lines are covered with analysis results on CAD view.
9 | ||
10 | Click “Refine Stress Line” button and select direction both. BDS gives a suggestion as to which of the drawn stress lines are redundant and should be deleted. And delete selected. This is just suggestion, you can choose less or more lines. If the analysis result does not cover under the stress lines, there is no need to placement the stress line at that location.

Follow the next steps to Slab Design for Top Reinforcements
Table 2: Top Reinforcements
1 | Go to Top Reinforcement under 1st Floor from tree view. Click Design Summary and select Column Strip Reinforcement Tab. Click “Generate Reinforcements” button. Reinforcement rectangles and undesign Reinforcement spreadsheet have been created.
2 | ||
3 | Click “Design Reinforcements” button. Rebar, spacing, Count of rebar data can be edited this spreadsheet. Required/Provided intensity cell of each reinforcement region will be green if capacity is enough for demand. If all colors on the spreadsheet are green, the design is complete. AEC|BOLT Building Design Suite will automaticaly calculate Required/Provided reinforcement intensity ratio as you enter rebar information.
4 | ||
5 | If reinforcement demand rectangles are too close we should merge them. Click “Merge Reinforcement” button and select rebars for merge.
6 | Additionally deleted stress lines
