AECBOLT
SAFE
There are several reasons why it is different with Hand Calculation & Aecbolt Calculations when calculating in Safe.
Decisions were made to match Aecbolt & Safe calculation results.
AECBOLT
SW üzerine rigid area değil no weight slab yerleştirilecek
Beam offset ile -Z ye taşınacak
Shell Slab e z'de offset ver t/z kadar, Column below L= L+ Slab Thickness, Slab unit Weight olmayacak
Rigid zone yaratma işi settings oldu
Beam intersecting slab areas mut be 0 unit weight
SAFE
Rigid Include Zone
The value of Column and Shearwall Properties from Aecbolt to Safe goes with the 'Include Rigid Zone' button checked. When analyzed in this way, there is a difference between Sum of Reaction and Hand Calculation. As we understand from this difference, for Column and Shearwall also take into account the weight of the 'Rigid Zone' defined.
The export to be sent here must have selected Slab Materials Properties in the form of "ZeroUnitWeight-ConX". Thus weight of Rigid Areas is not calculated 2 times.
(Rigid area is the area where the intersection of the Slab and the Column or Shearwall is.)
2. Calculation of Shearwall Height
While Column is exported to Safe, it is sent without subtracting the slab thickness from Story Height. In sort if ‘Story Height’ is 10 feet, Column height is also 10 feet.
But while Shearwall is exported to Safe, Slab thickness is subtracted from Story Height. In sort if ‘Story Height’ is 10 feet and Slab thickness is 0.83 feet (10 inch), Shearwall height is also 9.17 feet.
In exports, both 'Column' and 'Shearwall' height will now be sent Story Height subtracted from 'Slab Thickness'.
