AEC|BOLT BIM Cloud  library has code check and design templates based on different building codes for structural elements. This feature allows user to check the criterias easily, design properly and faster.

You can import available design templates from AEC|BOLT BIM Cloud library or you can create your design template in AEC|BOLT BIM Cloud. There is two ways of setting templates;

  • Go to Design Criteria

  • Click Load Template Groups

This button is a shortcut, it imports the templates and sets them as design criterias.

You can also import each template one by one and set them manually,

  • Go to Design Criteria Design Templates

  • Click Design Template → Select templates → Click Add

You can change the analysis sources of each code check template and set flag parameters true or false from their spreadsheet.

  • Go to Code Check Template spreadsheet

  • Click Analysis Results Source cell

  • Select analysis sources (Tributary and CSI SAFE for this example)

To assign templates to objects;

  • Go to Design Criteria → Assign templates from spreadsheet as shown above.

The design checks of all relevant objects will be made according to the design templates which is assigned to codes as default. But you can change the assigned design template of each object as shown below.

To create your own design template;

  • Go to ParamML Code on report window

  • Copy all the codes

  • Create a new project on your library account

  • Paste the codes there

Now you can modify internal calculations from code but you can not change input parameters.
