After clicking on ‘Substructure Code Checks> Pier Footing Code Check' in the navigation treeview, follow the steps to define the Pier Footing Code Check. You can use the collapsed documentation page below for more information on the explanations of each parameter.
| 🖱️ Click the three-dots icon on the Template cell, and then set PierFootCCT.
| As a result of these operations, an issue will appear on the OpenBrIM screen. This does not necessarily mean that any operation was done incorrectly. The issue will be resolved when the shear reinforcement profile in longitudinal direction, shear reinforcement profile in transverse direction and shear reinforcement material are defined in the next step.
| |||
| 🖱️ Click the three-dots icon on the Select Pier Footing cell, and then set Footing1.
| 🖱️ Enter the Distance in Longitudinal direction from centroid as 10.
| 🖱️ Enter the Distance in Transverse direction from centroid as 20.
| 🖱️ Keep the Check for as default.
| You can edit the Flexural Reinforcement parameters of Pier Footing Code Check from Flexural Reinforcement tab. 🖱️ Click the three-dots icon on the Reinforcement Material cell, and then set A615_60.
| 🖱️ Click three-dots icon on the Longitudinal Direction Reinforcement cell and click Edit.
| 🖱️ Please set the following values sequentially: 1st row - Top or Bottom: Bottom Rebar Profile: ASTMA615No8 Spacing of Reinforcement: 10 Distance to Extreme Fiber: 4
| 🖱️ Click three-dots icon on the Transverse Direction Reinforcement cell and click Edit.
| 🖱️ Please set the following values sequentially: 1st row - Top or Bottom: Bottom Rebar Profile: ASTMA615No8 Spacing of Reinforcement: 10 Distance to Extreme Fiber: 4
| You can edit the Shear Reinforcement parameters of Pier Footing Code Check from Shear Reinforcement tab. 🖱️ Click the three-dots icon on the Shear Reinforcement Profile in Longitudinal direction cell, and then set ASTMA615No5.
| 🖱️ Click the three-dots icon on the Shear Reinforcement Profile in Transverse direction cell, and then set ASTMA615No5.
| 🖱️ Click the three-dots icon on the Shear Reinforcement Material cell, and then set A615_60.
| 🖱️ Keep the Spacing in Longitudinal direction, Spacing in Transverse direction, No. of Legs in Longitudinal direction, No. of Legs in Transverse direction and Shear Reinforcement as default.
| 🖱️ Set name as PierFootCC.
| Proceed to the next step to verify the model. |
The completed pier footing code check is illustrated below. Please verify that you have the same model on your end by examining each view provided here. For more information on how to perform visual checks, refer to the quick tips.
