Continuity Diaphragm

Connected Girders at Start (Downstation): To create the 3D geometry for the continuity diaphragm, input for the downstation girder is required.

Connected Girders at End (Upstation): To create the 3D geometry for the continuity diaphragm, input for the upstation girder is required.

Depth [ft]: The depth of the graphical representation of the diaphragm can be defined here.

Additional Overhang Length Transverse Dir. (Left) [ft]: The additional overhang length distance from the center of the leftmost girder towards the left side of the bridge can be defined along the alignment direction.

Additional Overhang Length Transverse Dir. (Right) [ft]: The additional overhang length distance from the center of the rightmost girder towards the right side of the bridge can be defined along the alignment direction.

Thickness (Downstation w.r.t. Support Line) [ft]: The thickness of the continuity diaphragm for downstation w.r.t. support line.

Thickness (Upstation w.r.t. Support Line) [ft]: The thickness of the continuity diaphragm for upstation w.r.t. support line.

Material : The material of the continuity diaphragm can be defined here.

FEM

Cap Connection [YES/NO]: The cap connection finite element is a connection element positioned between cap and diaphragm top nodes. Please choose "YES" if you wish to generate this element.

Cap Connection Type [Rigid/Pin]: The cap connection finite element can be defined as rigid or pinned here.

Deck Connection [YES/NO]: The cap connection can be defined to be made with the deck here. If you want to create the element connection with the deck, please choose "YES".
