Follow the next steps to define concrete deck.

Go to Concrete Deck on tree view.

Click three-dots icon on Cross Sections cell and Edit.

Select the Cross Section and enter values for the Offset from Support Line, Skew Angle, and Variation with Next Segment.

Click three-dots icon on Girders cell and Edit.

Select the Girders.

Click three-dots icon on Deck Reinforcement Data cell and Edit.

Select the Deck Rebar Material, Long. Deck Rebar (Top) and Long. Deck Rebar (Bottom) and enter values for the Start Station, End Station, Rebar Spacing, Clear Cover and Concrete creep adjustment factor.

Enter the Taper, Continuous at Start, Continuous at End and Material.

 Quick Tip

Do not forget to assign the related material for each case.

Go to 3D Settings tab to edit the Curve Refinement inputs.


Follow the below steps to copy and paste all inputs from our data set.

Go to Concrete Deck under Deck on the tree view.

Copy General and 3D Settings from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

Completed deck cross section is illustrated below.


 Quick Tip: Copy inputs to OpenBrIM

Copy the desired data with the automatic copy button in the upper left corner.

Click on the first cell in and use the Ctrl+V shortcut to paste.

If icon won’t appear, collapse page tree menu by clicking on arrow or using shortcut “[”.

While pasting large data, it would be handy to turn of Auto-refresh .
