This section starts with a load geometry definition (surface) and proceeds with the corresponding load (surface load).


Follow the next steps to add surface and the corresponding load definitions.

Go to Load Geometry Definitions/ Surface/Quadrilateral in tree view.

Select Bridge.

Specify Start Station, End Station and Surface Width.

Go to Loads/Surface Load.

Name surface load and select Surface.

Enter Magnitude (Gravity) of the surface load.

Specify Stage and Element (of which surface load to be applied).


Follow the below steps to copy and paste all inputs from our data set.

Go to Quadrilateral under Load Geometry Definitions on the tree view.

Copy Surface, and Graphics from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.

Go to Surface Load under Loads on the tree view.

Copy General from model inputs and paste into OpenBrIM.


 Quick Tip: Copy inputs to OpenBrIM

Copy the desired data with the automatic copy button in the upper left corner.

Click on the first cell in and use the Ctrl+V shortcut to paste.

If icon won’t appear, collapse page tree menu by clicking on arrow or using shortcut “[”.

While pasting large data, it would be handy to turn of Auto-refresh .
