Analyzing for gravity loads and integration of lateral load design forces into BDS platform AEC|BOLT Building Design Suite is achieved by exporting the mathematical model of the building to the well-accepted finite element analysis software ETABS.

Go to Tools then click AEC | BOLT link to connect the Building Design Suite Library as shown in Figure X11.

A pop up window of AEC|BOLT Building Design Suite BIM platform will open.

Log in with your AEC | BOLT Building Design Suite account as illustrated in Figure X33. After log in you will be directed to your library.

Click on the project which to be transferred to Etabs.

→ Click 3D view to see the 3D model of the building as illustrated in Figure 5.

Click Finite View to see the analytical model of the building as illustrated in Figure 6.

The finite model generated by AEC | BOLT Building Design Suite will be transferred to etabs for analysis. You can easily re-generate the finite model if the generated model is not accurate for analysis (for example if not updated after the changes in 3D model). See Global FE Model page.

Run analysis. Then click Push button to import the analysis results to AEC | BOLT Building Design Suite.

When the import of analysis results is done, go to AEC | BOLT Building Design Suite Analysis Results section see the results.
