Reinforcements

In the "Reinforcements" sectionspreadsheet, you will find a list of all analytical beams presented in the spreadsheet. Additionally, the beam sections are visually displayed in the drawing space, as depicted in Figure 2. This allows for a comprehensive view of the beams and their corresponding sections, aiding in the design and reinforcement process.

From the "Rebar Template" drop-down cell, you have the option to select and assign a pre-defined rebar template that you have created.

The AEC | BOLT Building Design Suite enables user provides users with the capability to create layered rebar templates or arbitrary rebar templates easilywith ease.

Layered Rebar Templates

First way;

→ Click To create layered rebar templates:

...

→ In the spreadsheet, locate the desired analytical beam and click on the "Create New Templatecell of Show " cell in the "Create Layered Rebar Templates column of desired analytical beamin the spreadsheet as illustrated in Figure 2.

→ Click "Show" to add rebar layers (Figure 3 and Figure 4)

→ The longitudinal reinforcement spreadsheet will open. Click "Add" to add a rebar layer. (Figure 4).

...

→ In the spreadsheet (Figure 5 and Figure 6), select the rebar for the layer, enter the rebar count along the layer, specify the distance to the extreme fiber for the top or bottom layer reinforcement. In the spreadsheet, there is a cell labeled "Type" which provides a drop-down menu. This allows you to specify the rebar label as either flexural reinforcement or skin reinforcement. By selecting the appropriate option, you can indicate the intended purpose or role of the rebar within the layer.

To create arbitrary rebar templates:

...

→ In the spreadsheet, locate the desired analytical beam and click on the "Create New Template" cell in the "Create Arbitrary Rebar Templates" column.

→ In the spreadsheet, select the transverse reinforcement and enter the clear cover to the stirrup and the transverse spacing.

→ Enter the leg number for the reinforcement.

→ Specify longitudinal rebar.

→ Click "Draw Rebars" (Figure 8) to add rebar layers.

...

→ Enter a value as shown in Figure 79. AEC|BOLT Building Design Suite will create reference lines for user to guide the reinforcement placement.
