To prepare the model generated by drawing in AEC|BOLT AUTOCAD App, one should define the wall segments for the “Analytical Wall”s of https://aecbolt.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BDS/pages/159580219/Shear+Walls#Analytical-Walls.
“Wall segment” concept in AEC|BOLT Building Design Suite is equivalent to “Pier” and “Spandrel” definitions in ETABS. “Vertical wall segment” corresponds to “Pier” and “Horizontal wall segment” to “Spandrel”.
Analysis results for the shear walls to be imported from the ETABS are reported in the form of pier and spandrel results.
