Diameter: Represents the nominal diameter of the prestressed concrete strand.
Area: Represents the cross-sectional area of the prestressed concrete strand. Tools used for sectional analysis, such as moment capacity, rebar stress computation, moment curvature, and interaction diagram, rely on the cross-sectional area property of strand instead of its diameter. This is due to the differences between the actual area and the area computed from diameter using the mathematical expression PI*r^2.
