Please follow the instructions provided below to define temperature loads.

Navigate to Loads > Temperature Load > Uniform Temperature Load

The temperature variations that occur throughout the day exert two types of loads on bridges and highways - expansion and contraction.

Click three-dots icon on Stage cell and click select.

Select the Stage to “TUExpStage” and “TUContrStage” from the combobox.

The reason for doing this is to define the Temperature Loads that have an impact on the bridge.

Enter the name as in the figure.

Click three-dots icon on Bridge cell and set Bridge as “Bridge1”.

Enter the expansion temperature value of 35 degrees Fahrenheit and the contraction temperature value of minus 35 degrees Fahrenheit as in the figure.

The purpose of this is to calculate the loads that may occur under these (critical) temperatures
