Table 1: Tributary Analysis

1

Go to Tributary under AEC|BOLT from tree view.

I want to make the tributary Area Factors To adjust the tributary area factors of C20 and C24 columns to 1.1 instead of "1 " for each floor.Tributary results will be on the safe side by , navigate to the "Tributary" section under "AEC|BOLT" in the tree view. By increasing the correction factor, for the tributary results will be more conservative approach, increase the correction factor.I need , providing a safety margin.

To do this, you will need to use the "Live Load Reduction" code for this, if this code is not imported, add it from Design Criteria, which can be imported from the "Design Criteria" section if it is not already import.

2

Go to To change the tributary correction factors for columns C20 and C24, go to the Tributary Correction Factors Tab at in the same spreadsheet. Hover To filter the spreadsheet, hover over the "Name" column in the spreadsheet and right-click.

Select the filter option from the combobox and select choose only column columns C20 and C24 from the list.

This will filter the spreadsheet to show only the rows for columns C20 and C24. Then you can change the correction factors of the columns.

3

Set To set the " Tributary Area Factors " of columns C20 and C24 to 1.1 for each floor.

You can see Reducible Area on this spreadsheet.

Click the "Show" button to see the placement of a column for which you have increased the Tributary Area factors on the CAD side, locate the corresponding area in the Tributary Correction Factors tab of the spreadsheet.

Once you have made the changes, you can view the Reducible Area of the columns by looking at the spreadsheet.

To see the placement of these columns on the CAD side, click the "Show" button.

5

Come back to To apply the changes and complete the Tributary Analysis, return to the Tributary Analysis Settings section and click the "Run Tributary" button to perform the analysis.

This will use the Tributary Area Factors and the other settings that you have defined to analyze the structure and calculate the loads on each element.

Table 2: Global FE Model Analysis

1

Go to To generate a finite element model (FEM) for the structure, navigate to the "Global FE Model frrom " section in the tree view. In the "Run Mesh?" column, set the cell to "True" and then click the "Generate FEM" button.

This will create a FEM for the entire structure using the geometry, properties, and loads that have been defined.

The FEM will be used to perform linear and non-linear analyses of the structure and to calculate the internal forces, deformations and stability of the structure.

3

Click “Run Analysis” button.

Click the close button when To perform the analysis on the finite element model, click the "Run Analysis" button.

The analysis will use the FEM, loads, and other settings that have been defined to calculate the internal forces, deformations, and stability of the structure.

Once the analysis is complete, a button will be displayed indicating that the AECBolt FE Analysis is completefinished. You can then click the "Close" button to exit the analysis.

Tip

The “Analysis” part is completed in this step.

You can proceed to the “CSI Analysis Software Export & Import” section.
