Follow the next steps to set material definitions to be used in this bridge example.

Go to Properties/Materials.

Click the three-dots on the first cell of the Name and click Import Material

Import following materials from OpenBrIM Library

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Steel Material Database (US) > Structural Steel > A709_50

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Concrete Steel Material Database (US) > US AASHTO Structural Steel >Fc A709_4ksi50W

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Steel Material Database (US) > Reinforcement Steel > A615_60

  • OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > Steel Concrete Material Database (US) > Structural Steel US AASHTO > A709Fc_50W4ksi

Assign a Stress-Strain model to FcCube_4ksi.

Edit FcCube_4ksi.

Select Stress/Strain model as Mander Concrete.

Click Save.

Do the same procedure for A615_60.

Select Bilinear Steel.

Define a new material named “RigidMaterial”.
