Springs represents two two-noded members with stiffness parameter in a finite element model, usually used while modeling bearings in bridges.
Difference between Line and Spring objects is that, Line objects gather their stiffness values from their section parameters while springs' stiffness parameter can be modified by user.
From model below we can see the difference in behavior between same structure modeled with lines and springs.

Stiffness Parameter
Click ⋮ icon next to the desired stiffness parameter input cell.
User can either choose between Free - Fixed options or select Edit Stiffness option.
In Edit Link Stiffness tab user can manipulate stiffness value to match desired behavior.
